back on track

do you ever get to the point where you have left something for so long that it is hard feel inspired to come back to it? i am guilty of this in quite a few aspects of my life. i have done it since i was small, especially with diaries. they would always start out full of promise then peter out after a month or two... hopefully it won't happen so soon with this blog! i did have a  few computer probs - the internet is driving me nuts! anyway, we did so many things in the holidays that when i finally got the internet working, it felt like there was too much to write about and too daunting to catch up. i have finally bitten the bullet as i have actually been enjoying my blogging experience - here we go....

we ventured to the zoo for the second time this year and absolutely loved it. it is such a joy to see your kids get so excited about little things like seeing elephants and giraffes. it sounds a little corny, but the squeals of delight from finn when he found the seals and the turtles, were really, truly uplifting!

easter morning was great. i have never witnessed someone so ecstatic as finn when he discovered that the 'easter rabbit' (as he calls it) had visited. he went crazy!

you'll never guess what - i have finally learnt to crochet!!! i am so pleased! woo hoo! my dad's cousin came to stay and VERY patiently taught me the skill. anyway, my goal is to crochet a granny square a week and build up to a granny a day... we'll  see!

while we were doing a bit of shopping in myer melbourne, finn decided to show off his cool dance moves to some fisher price tunes (sorry it is on the side, not sure how to rotate a video!)

on thursday, finn, freya and i drove to the airport to pick up PT. there was a tense moment the night before when i heard about a major earthquake of the coast of sumatra. i coulnd't get hold of him on the phone so i was feeling pretty anxious. after much googling and finding out where was affected, i managed to get hold of PT. he was still in sumatra and had felt the quake but was on his way the aiport. the quake did not cause as much damage as initially estimated - thanks goodness.

aiports, particularly arrivals, are funny, emotional places. poeple greeting family members and friends they haven't seen for years, tourists arriving to begin new adventures etc. anyway, we were super excited when PT came out those doors.

with PT home i have had a spare momnent to start the 'love form finn' women's collection - super cute skirt with appliqued swans...

now that i have finally caught up i'll try not to get that behind again (at least for another few weeks!). xx
